The opportunity

We are seeking aSenior Contracts and Commercial Analyst.The successful applicant will join a growing Commercial, Supplier Management and Service Quality and Risk Management team within People Advisory Services and will work with Account Managers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure that the function is (i) producing high-quality contractual documentation, (ii) compliant with all obligations, and (iii) mindful of risk and has in place measures to remove such risk, (iv) responding to the requirements associated with contracting and maintaining compliance in a large managed service, and (v) continuously improving. They will report into the Contracts and Commercial Manager.

The Commercial, Supplier Management and Service Quality and Risk Management team has three main functions:

  1. Contract review and contract management;
  2. Regulatory compliance and risk management; and
  3. Supply chain management.

Your key responsibilities

  • Review contracts to ensure (i) compliance with governing contracts, client requirements and EY processes, (ii) risk is removed, and (iii) accuracy and clarity.
  • Project-manage contract review requests and perform associated governance activities.
  • Manage all contractual obligations and engage with internal stakeholders as required.
  • Support stakeholders to adhere to internal processes relating to contracting, compliance and commercial-related matters.
  • Advise and offer support to internal stakeholders with respect to contracting and compliance.
  • Engage with suppliers in respect of compliance-related manners.
  • Draft comprehensive reports and professional correspondence.
  • Identify areas of risk and engage appropriate stakeholders.
  • Identify improvements to internal processes and support with implementation thereof.
  • Oversee management of a central mailbox.
  • Proactively seek to resolve issues and queries, escalating them where required.

Skills and attributes for success
We are seeking a Senior Contracts and Commercial Analyst who is detail-oriented and has experience of processing complex information and demonstrating exceptional attention to detail. Given this is a growing team, we are seeking individuals with excellent interpersonal skills and continuous improvement mindset who can contribute to the evolution and ongoing improvement of the way we deliver services for our clients.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Experience of reviewing commercial contracts.
  • Strong understanding of the principles of contracting.
  • Understanding of regulatory and legislative requirements and the application of these to an operational environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of processing complex information.
  • Strong data analysis skills and an ability to convey data analysis findings in a clear, succinct an accurate manner.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Commitment to high-quality delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to integrate with new teams quickly and build effective relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to identify areas for improvement, carry out an effective review, seek resolutions and consult appropriately.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically
  • Experience in a regulatory or risk-management environment.
  • Experience of processing complex information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently, manage own time and prioritise workload across multiple workstreams in a deadline-driven environment.

You will also need to be resident in the UK.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Experience of working in a managed service environment or large corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of procurement and supply chain management.
  • Project-management experience.
