The Role:

The Contracts Manager supports the PR & Influence function and works across central teams and all global markets. This person will be responsible for keeping comprehensive and accurate records of all contracts and ensuring that the business has access to information about such contracts. They will also be responsible for preparing and responding to contracts, triaging requests into the WPP Legal function, providing access to legal self-help notes, templates and other resources as well as providing support in completing templates for contracts and information requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage relationships with business leadership, agency teams and legal counterparts.
  • Negotiation activities for some of Ogilvy's vendor contracts (e.g influencers, talent, production companies, photographers, etc) to meet Ogilvy's and its client's needs for a mutually beneficial outcome.
  • Act as a first responder on questions coming from the business relating to vendor contracts, including requests for information and standard contract terms, templates, self-help legal guidance and other resources made available by the WPP Legal team.
  • Advice on completion of template legal forms
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to co-ordinate and track the signature of contracts with vendors and ensure agreement of consistent terms.
  • Co-ordinate with WPP Legal operations team to operate the contract management system and ensure key contracts are uploaded.
  • Provide guidance and support to the business on the existence of signed contracts across different markets.
  • Provide high level guidance on the rights and obligations arising under signed contracts.

Requirements:

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Ability to communicate well with a wide range of people across different markets

Ability to build network within complex organisation

Proactive problem solver who works collaboratively

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ideally also contract management software (Conga)
