Contracts Manager - Major EPC Infrastructure Projects (UK-Based)
A rapidly growing Independent Power Producer is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead the drafting, negotiation, and administration of high-value contracts across a portfolio of large-scale energy infrastructure projects. With significant capital investment secured and planning permission in place for rapid expansion, this business is on track to become a major force in the UK's energy transition.
You'll be at the heart of delivering complex EPC projects-including HV power systems, energy storage, and hydrogen infrastructure-acting as a key interface between Commercial, Legal, and external stakeholders to ensure contracts are robust, compliant, and strategically aligned.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for subcontractors, consultants, and service providers, with a focus on NEC3 and NEC4 frameworks.
- Coordinate contract matters across internal teams (Commercial, Legal, Procurement, and Project Delivery) and external advisors.
- Ensure all contracts are commercially sound, legally compliant, and aligned with project delivery objectives.
- Support procurement strategy, risk management, and dispute resolution processes.
- Maintain accurate contract records and ensure governance procedures are followed.
- Advise internal stakeholders on contract interpretation, risk exposure, and best practice.
- Drive improvements in contract management processes and systems.
What You'll Bring
- Strong experience managing contracts within large-scale EPC infrastructure projects, ideally in the HV power or energy sector.
- Deep understanding of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and UK construction law.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Commercial acumen and a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
