Overview:
We are currently looking for a Contracts Manager to join the Blackhawk Network team based in Apsley. Our in-house Legal and Compliance Team provide advice on a wide range of legal and compliance topics, including commercial contracts, payments law, data protection, intellectual property, litigation, employment and M&A. This will be a varied role within a busy and productive team which supports a wide range of business stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with setting up legal processes
- Formatting templates and legal documentation
- Using pre-worded templates
- Reviewing NDAs
- Uploading contractual documentation to contracts management software
- Managing execution of contractual documentation in accordance with governance procedures (e.g. DocuSign)
- Assisting with resolving queries sent to the in-house Legal team
- Maintaining and renewing know-how resources
- Organising internal meetings and sending agenda/taking minutes as required
- Filing and archiving
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year experience within a legal team
- Understanding of basics contractual concepts
- Excellent IT skills
- Extremely organised and proactive, positive and enthusiast approach, team player, team orientated mindset
- The ability to work to tight timescales with a sense of urgency
- The ability to use your initiative, problem solving capability
- A high level of attention to practical detail
- Common sense, a commercial outlook and the ability to exercise sound judgement
- Practice of a second language (German and/or Dutch) would be a plus
