Role overview
The Senior Contracts Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple live projects. You will be responsible for contract performance, commercial outcomes, risk management, and high-level stakeholder engagement. This role requires a seasoned professional who can drive excellence and efficiency in contract delivery while supporting the growth ambitions of the business.
Key responsibilities
• Oversee contract management from onboarding through to completion
• Lead budgeting, cost control, change management, and risk mitigation
• Drive commercial performance and ensure contractual compliance
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients
• Provide leadership and mentorship to site and contracts teams
• Manage project reporting, forecasts, and board-level escalation issues
• Ensure health, safety and quality standards are upheld across all projects
Ideal candidate
• Extensive experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Contracts professional in UK construction
• Proven track record managing complex projects and commercial outcomes
• Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills
• Confident dealing with clients, stakeholders, and subcontract partners
• Chartered or professional qualifications advantageous (e.g., RICS, CIOB, APC)
