Contracts Manager

Danny Sullivan Group are currently looking for a Contracts Manager for a role that we have available with a Tier 1 contractor working on AMP8 framework for Southern Water.
As a key member of the senior operations team, you will manage multiple contracts, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the delivery of multiple wastewater treatment projects within the Southern Water framework.
 - Oversee project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure adherence to programme, budget, and quality requirements.
 - Act as the primary point of contact with the client (Southern Water), fostering strong relationships and maintaining clear communication.
 - Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across all projects.
 - Review and approve project programmes, cost forecasts, and risk assessments.
 - Manage commercial performance, variations, and claims in collaboration with Quantity Surveyors.
 - Support pre-construction planning, design coordination, and procurement activities.
 - Monitor resource allocation and workforce planning to maximise efficiency and minimise risk.
 - Provide mentoring and leadership to Project Managers, Site Managers, and Engineers.
 - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovation across the framework.
 
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager (or Senior Project Manager ready to step up) within civil engineering, ideally wastewater treatment or water sector frameworks.
 - Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, MEICA integration, and civil engineering construction methods.
 - Experience working on AMP frameworks with UK water utilities (Southern Water experience highly desirable).
 - Demonstrable commercial awareness and understanding of NEC contracts.
 - Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
 - Commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability.
 - Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
 - Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the Southern Water region.
