As Contracts Manager, you'll lead small project teams and coordinate consultants to deliver complex, high-value projects with clarity and efficiency. You'll apply your technical expertise, manage change with precision, and ensure compliance at every stage, shaping successful outcomes while driving innovation and excellence across all aspects of project delivery.

The responsibilities we'll trust you with

  • You'll continually review with the project Director and implement project strategy by making necessary interventions, reducing complexity and improving efficiencies in the operational delivery of the project.
  • You'll assist the project Director in Preparing Project Execution Plans (PEP's) in line with changing demands of the project, collaborating with the team and communicating and implementing agreed plans, monitoring and tracking performance, updating as required
  • You'll provide comprehensive external and internal reporting to meet the requirements of the contract and internal process.
  • You'll proactively manage project documentation e.g. IRS, Procurement, CDP tracker, ensuring all documentation produced by the team is consistent and compliant.
  • You'll periodically you may be required to contribute (on the direction of your Divisional Manager/Project Manger/ Director), proactively engage in pre- construction activities as part of bidding for new projects.
  • You'll work closely with the Project Director to shape and drive project strategy, simplifying processes, boosting efficiency, and ensuring smooth operational delivery.
  • You'll craft and implement Project Execution Plans (PEPs), collaborating with teams and monitoring progress to keep projects on track and aligned with objectives.
  • You'll provide clear, insightful reporting both internally and externally, keeping stakeholders informed and confident in project performance.
  • You'll ensure all project documentation-IRS, Procurement, CDP trackers-is accurate, consistent, and fully compliant, supporting seamless team operations.
  • You'll engage in pre-construction and bidding activities, contributing your expertise to secure new projects and expand opportunities for the business.

Where you'll be based

You'll join our Central Region, where we undertake projects between £500k and £5m in value. Our focus is on high-end projects like swimming pools, spas, luxury bathroom and kitchen renovations, as well as refurbishments and new build private residences, which require attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality to the highest standard.

You'll be based on-site at one of our prestigious projects, joining a warm, professional team that takes pride in craftsmanship and detail.

The areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

  • You'll demonstrate collaborative leadership, managing small internal project teams of 2-5 people with clarity and effectiveness.
  • You'll coordinate professional consultants, guiding and influencing teams to achieve seamless project delivery.
  • You'll interpret and manage complex project information, maintaining control over extensive change processes.
  • You'll draw on your knowledge of pre-construction processes and SHE regulations to support safe, compliant project delivery.
  • You'll apply comprehensive technical and construction expertise to inform decision-making and problem-solving.
  • You'll leverage programming software-preferably Elecosoft Powerproject-to plan, monitor, and optimise project schedules.
