An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced and proactive Contract and Commissioning Manager to join one of the most diverse providers of integrated physical and mental health care in the country, providing a full range of mental health, physical healthcare and community services for children, adults and older people living primary in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow but also with a presence in Berkshire (Broadmoor Hospital) and other London boroughs

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and positive individual with a genuine passion for working in a team environment and to work autonomously in a supportive and collaborative environment as well as being a key member of the Contracting and Commissioning Hub which sits in Business and Strategy Team at West London NHS Trust.

The successful candidate will be expected to lead and manage all aspects of a contracts life cycle from internal engagements with relevant colleagues to external interactions with providers depending on the needs and requirements of the team and the Trust, this may include commissioning advice and guidance, drafting contracts, taking part in subsequent contract monitoring meetings, service mobilisations, and dealing with a wide spectrum of ad hoc requests in relation to contract service delivery across the Trust and also across the ICS

Main duties of the job

This will be a very busy role and the post holder will require a flexible approach to work and be able to use their own initiative and work effectively with other team members, CSUs and Service Lines across the Trust. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic, strong organisational skills and the ability to think strategically. They will have excellent communication skills and demonstrate flair, enthusiasm, innovation and leadership when faced with challenges and will provide strategic, tactical and operational management skills in the planning and execution of multiple concurrent projects leading to finished contracts. Experience of commissioning and complex project management, and working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders across multiple sites and organisations is essential. .
