Role Purpose
This role is for an Investment Management Technical Architect. The primary purpose is to support in defining the target application architecture and strategy for a client's investments platform. This includes aiding in the assessment of Portfolio Management Systems and their suppliers, alongside a critical review of enterprise platforms such as Affinity, Dynamics, and Power BI. The successful candidate will work closely with the Enterprise Architect to define the detailed architecture for the Investments division.
Key Responsibilities and Experience:
- Defining detailed technical architecture for investment platforms and systems.
- Evaluating and recommending Portfolio Management Systems and associated vendors.
- Conducting critical reviews and providing recommendations for enterprise platforms (e.g., Affinity, Dynamics, Power BI).
- Working collaboratively with the Enterprise Architect to align technical solutions with overall enterprise strategy.
- Demonstrable project scope exposure or experience in a Technical or Solution Architect capacity.
- Industry experience predominantly within Investment Management, and Private Equity experience a bonus.
- Strong knowledge of Investment Management architecture, including Portfolio Management Systems, Risk, Distribution, IBOR, ABOR, Client and Regulatory Reporting.
- Knowledge of Blackrock eFront or Aladdin is a significant advantage.
- A requirement for client office attendance in London 3 days per week.
Soft Skills
The role requires strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with the Enterprise Architect, various stakeholders, and suppliers. The ability to critically assess complex systems and articulate technical solutions clearly is essential.
