Job summary

o To provide general management of specified service contracts across Trust Estate and ensure efficient and quality managementservices for outsourced contracts.o To manage the provision of outsourced services supporting Trust operations.o To ensure the Trust's contract management services are governed within agreed policies and procedures and are budgeted for withinagreed terms.o Actively participate in operational and strategic decision-making by attendance at Trust development groups and other relevantmeetings and to undertake a project management role where required.o To be the primary contact for specified service contracts for service users, including tenants, across localities.o To provide, subject matter expertise for specific technical services, across all localities.o Professionally lead the provision of travel management advice, acting as the subject management expert for this area.o To manage a robust audit process for managed service contracts providing regular performance reports.

Main duties of the job

1.Manage the Operational Contract Management Support Assistant (Travel), ensuring contract service management is professionallysupported by effective administrative services that complies with all legislative, Trust and contractual requirements.2. Liaise with service specific Estates and Facilities staff to ensure a smooth management and delivery of contracted services and toassist them in problem solving and the implementation of remedial action.3. Liaise with all Services contractor and monitor standards of performance ensuring that service failures are brought up to standard in atimely manner, and in line with contract performance arrangements.4. Manage service contracts in compliance with Trust Contract Management policy & procedure, and documented contract arrangements.5. As budget holder, manage and analyse contracted service budgets and authorise expenditure within allocated budgets, addressing andreporting on reasons for significant over and under-spends. Assist in budget setting. Use the Trust procurement system.6. Identify and implement programmes for cost improvement regarding the use of resources e.g. in areas of variable cost such as fuel.7. Participate in and promote the Trusts sustainable development plan across the locality.8. Management of staff including grievance, appraisal, and absence management.9. To lead, develop and maintain the Trusts travel management policy

Assist patients during incidental contact, deal efficiently with any issues raised, present and maintain corporate image.17. Ensure the Trust meets requirements in respect of Health and Safety, Infection Control, CQC, Fire and PLACE by implementing andmonitoring actions arising from inspections and audits. Conduct and report on a programme of continuous audit across sites.18. Act as the Trust representative on professional networks associated with subject areas managed. Manage contact with enforcingAuthorities for services managed.19. Undertake training in specialist areas.20. Oversee the Safety of staff by ensuring that transport and drivers meet legal and H&S requirements21. Manage and deal with all contract facility related matters, including liaison with the Trusts site management services lead and EstateManagers (Operations).22. Identify commercial opportunities for service development and contribute to subsequent business plans.23. Meet on a regular basis with Assistant Directors, Managers and Estate Managers (Operations) to share and ensure best practiceacross the localities.24. As budget holder, manage and analyse contracted service budgets and authorise expenditure within allocated budgets, addressing andreporting on reasons for significant over and under-spends.
