The role
The Contracts Manager is an integral part of the global Client Relations team at Spektrix, helping us to optimise our commercial agreements with our clients to ensure our mutual success. Working directly with clients in all regions, they will manage day-today contract queries, maintain a pipeline of client contract renewals and, where appropriate, negotiate commercial terms with key decision makers in line with our pricing principles.

With a global client base of over 750, the Client Contracts Manager will ensure robust contract management tools and processes are in place so that our clients and internal stakeholders can expect timely and accurate responses from us. As we grow, those processes will grow and evolve with us, setting us and our clients up for long term success.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Key accountabilities

  • Ensure we build and maintain a scalable and systematic way of managing our client contracts effectively in all of the regions we work in. This includes identifying when commercial terms need reviewing.
  • Ensure the commercial terms of our client contracts are aligned with our pricing principles and are optimised for margin, retention and client success and value. This will often be achieved through careful and thoughtful negotiation directly with senior stakeholders at the client organisation.
  • Ensure internal and external stakeholder queries are managed promptly and accurately providing the most positive experience for all who engage with this crucial part of our business.
  • Ensure client commercial agreements are reviewed in line with our pricing principles regularly in collaboration with our Finance and Business Development Teams.
  • Ensuring the relevant stakeholders are well informed as to the mechanics behind client contracts and how best to advise clients and take steps directly themselves in order to maintain a positive and smooth client experience and clear and efficient communication internally.

Key responsibilities - the day-to-day

  • Handling day-to-day client contract queries promptly, ensuring an accurate log of activities is maintained.
  • Collaborating with global Client Relations team to understand client sentiment and connect with key client decision makers when renegotiating commercial terms.
  • Developing and presenting commercial proposals to clients.
  • Ensuring contract renewal conversations are moved along promptly to minimise time to close.
  • Working with the Spektrix Business Intelligence team to provide insights to the business on client growth opportunities.
  • Collaborating with the Finance team to regularly audit client agreements, ensuring commercial terms have been correctly executed and that billing is accurate.
  • Ensuring accurate record keeping in our central CRM and contracts management systems.

You'll be a person who is creative in your approach to solutions, keen to learn more about the business and excited by the value we offer our clients.

Experience & Skill Required

  • Influencing decision makers, with the ability to navigate a range of situations and conversations
  • Development of robust processes, ideally using CRM and / or contracts management tools
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organisational skills and be detail oriented
  • Background, experience or strong interest in commercial negotiations

Working from home

We aim to be as flexible as possible when it comes to working setups and lots of our team work from home on a regular basis. This means we generally work with a "remote first" approach even when we are in the office.

We'll provide reasonable support and all the hardware you need to get started, but we do require that you have the following already in place for a good home working set up:

  • A quiet working space at home where you can consistently take video calls without interruptions
  • An internet connection that supports your participation in video calls and access to our systems and service.

Travelling into your local office (commuting) is at your own expense with a stipend available, any travel for business (other than commuting) will be covered by Spektrix.
