Contract Manager - Utility Arb

Location: field based across the Grantham, Lincolnshire and the East Midlands

Salary: Competitive plus car

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Are you an experienced Contract Manager looking to take on a challenging yet rewarding role in the Utility Arboriculture sector? Join Ground Control, an award-winning environmental and landscaping business, as we continue to expand our operations.

What you`ll do:

As a Contract Manager, you will oversee the operational delivery of your contract area across the Midlands, ensuring efficiency, safety, and client satisfaction. You will:

  • Manage contract performance, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Act as the main client liaison, maintaining strong relationships and resolving any issues.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers, Coordinators, and Trainees, supporting their growth and performance.
  • Manage profit and loss, forecasting, and contract financials to meet revenue targets.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities.

What we`re looking for:

Any experience in Utility arb is an advantage but not essential however it is essential that you will have experience in managing general Arb, Forestry and/or Grounds Maintenance / Horticulture contracts.

You will also need;

  • Solid experience in contract management, financial management, and team leadership
  • Proficiency in MS Office, GIS systems, Power BI, and contract management software.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management - Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive approach to contract growth.

This is a field based role covering an area across the Midland therefore it will be a mix of working from home as well as being out on site.
