We have an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our Supply Chain and Service Operations team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract or Secondment. You'll support us to advance our operational excellence by identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency, assessing current business process, colleague/customer touch points and ways of working.

Working from home with time out on the road visiting sites across the UK, you'll be flexible in your approach having the freedom to plan and organise your own day.

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Creating, implementing and managing a programme of continuous improvement plans that drive efficiencies in operational process and enhance the customer/colleague experience
  • Delivering coaching and education workshops with colleagues in continuous improvement and lean activities
  • Providing regular management information/KPI's reports to the continuous improvement manager to fully track the progress and effectiveness of continuous improvement activity
  • Managing key stakeholders to gain their trust and buy-in to continuous improvement projects, from inception to implementation
  • Creating a positive attitude and continuous improvement culture within supply chain and service operations to facilitate acceptance of change and new ways of working

You will need:

  • A proven track record in continuous improvement delivery
  • Experience of working in a large, busy operation ideally within a retail and services environment
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • Tenacious multi-tasker with the ability to work under pressure and to deliver
  • Ability to engage a team all levels in the continuous improvement agenda
  • Ability to work quickly and effectively to deliver real and tangible improvements
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt accreditation
