About the Role

This role reports to the Senior Cyber Risk Manager, supporting initiatives for the wider Group Risk organization. The Group Risk organisation includes five teams: Enterprise Risk Management, Information Security, Business Continuity, Internal Audit and Data Governance. Within each of these teams there are discrete ways of working, processes and technology which are deployed to help each team address its responsibilities. The scope and remit of our organisation continues to grow and, in order to actively address this growth, we need to seek out process simplification, process alignment and technology driven efficiency.

The Continuous Improvement and Reporting Senior Analyst will be key in defining and driving through the requisite change to allow this to happen, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Defining and establishing a target operating model focused on strategic technology, automation and consolidated reporting across Group Risk toolsets and supporting Group Risk teams.
  • Actively driving automation and standardisation of reporting, collaborating within Group Risk and across the broader community within Maples Group
  • Identifying, championing and implementing process efficiencies, providing analysis, future state processes, assessing solution options as needed
  • Supporting colleagues from all five teams in defining and monitoring core KPIs and KRIs for Group Risk
  • Establishing consolidated reporting processes and dashboards for defined metrics
  • Providing leadership and expertise to various stakeholders on projects to proactively address cross-functional business and efficiency needs
  • Coordinating tracking, measuring and reporting on the performance of the standards and practices deployed, including the evolution of Group Risk maturity
  • Supporting Enterprise Risk Management colleagues in establishing and providing monthly reporting for CRO; as well as additional reporting for business committees
  • Supporting Enterprise Risk Management colleagues to assess and leverage available reporting to identify trends, themes and areas requiring improved controls for stakeholders; ensuring that emerging risks identified are socialized and mitigation strategies are in place

EXPERIENCE

What You Bring

In addition to high professional and ethical standards, the ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor and/or graduate degree in Business, Finance or related field.
  • PMI-PBA or IIBA - CBAP certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Business Process analyst, Business Analyst or similar role, with intermediate reporting experience.
  • Experience in Compliance, Operational Risk, Legal or other control related function within a financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof; previous experience working in / managing within a globally dispersed team.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory standards and frameworks.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and other database systems
  • Experience and knowledge of project planning, organizing, delivery tools, technology deployment and data analysis techniques
  • Knowledge of business process design that encourages a critical, fresh look at key processes and focuses on maximizing organizational performance.
  • Confident self-starter with good interpersonal, personal organisation and relationship management skills to be able to support multiple stakeholders with a 'can do' collaboration mentality
  • Experience in delivering operational change initiatives that have provided tangible efficiencies or business value
