Job Description
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the Continual Improvement capability, ensuring improvements are identified, prioritised, and delivered effectively across all suppliers and internal teams.
- Act as the primary driver of improvement activity, working under the direction of the Continual Improvement Lead to execute the CI roadmap and uplift organisational maturity.
- Champion a culture of service evolution, innovation, and best practice across the SIAM ecosystem.
- Analyse services, processes, performance data, and customer feedback to identify opportunities that enhance efficiency, quality, reliability, and user experience.
- Lead the full lifecycle of improvement initiatives - from discovery and scoping through to implementation, embedding, and benefits realisation.
- Conduct root cause analysis to address systemic issues and drive sustainable corrective actions.
- Ensure improvements align with customer priorities and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Build strong working relationships with service owners, delivery teams, business stakeholders, and third-party suppliers to ensure improvement initiatives are understood, supported, and embedded.
- Facilitate cross-supplier workshops, reviews, and governance forums to drive alignment and shared ownership of improvement outcomes.
- Influence stakeholders at all levels through clear communication, data-driven insights, and compelling recommendations.
- Maintain and evolve Continual Improvement processes, policies, and operating procedures, ensuring they remain aligned to ITILv4 and SIAM principles.
- Ensure improvement activities follow agreed governance models and support safe, effective implementation of change.
- Promote consistent use of improvement methodologies and ensure high-quality execution across all initiatives.
- Oversee the tracking and reporting of improvement initiatives, ensuring progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes are clearly understood and communicated.
- Produce high-quality reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior stakeholders, demonstrating value delivered and highlighting future opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and artefacts that evidence improvement activity and support decision-making.
- Identify and manage risks associated with improvement initiatives, ensuring appropriate mitigation and escalation.
- Feed lessons learned from incidents, changes, and problems into the improvement pipeline to drive proactive service evolution.
- Support service continuity considerations for critical services where improvements may have operational impact.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and service excellence across the SIAM ecosystem.
- Mentor colleagues and suppliers in the use of improvement tools, techniques, and best practice.
- Lead internal communications that raise awareness of improvement initiatives and celebrate success.
Qualifications
- ITIL4 Foundation is desired.
- Proven experience in continual improvement, process improvement, or a similar role.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen is desired.
- Strong understanding of ITIL framework and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar is a plus.
