Job Description

We are looking for a Continual Improvement Manager to join our team on a permanent basis to drive forward our delivery capability and deliver the optimum solutions to the clients. Our Service Management Practice delivers infrastructure support services to a significant number of clients, across multiple sectors. The current Service Delivery offers prospective candidates the opportunity for significant recognition, skills and technology exposure, and career development and training across multiple business areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify Improvement Opportunities: Analyse current processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency, quality, and performance.
  • Develop and Implement Improvement Plans: Design and implement continuous improvement strategies, methodologies, and initiatives across the organisation.
  • Facilitate Change Management: Lead change management efforts to ensure successful implementation of improvement initiatives, including training and support for staff.
  • Monitor and Measure Impact: Track the progress and impact of improvement initiatives, using data and metrics to measure success and identify further opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with various departments to understand their processes and challenges, providing support and guidance on improvement efforts.
  • Promote a Culture of Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation, feedback, and best practices across the organisation.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis: Perform root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide Training and Support: Train and mentor staff on continuous improvement tools, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Prepare Reports and Presentations: Prepare detailed reports and presentations on improvement initiatives, progress, and outcomes for senior management.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in continuous improvement to ensure the organisation remains competitive and innovative.
  • Own and Govern Continuous Improvement Practice: Manage the Continual Improvement practice, ensuring all supporting documentation is reviewed and updated annually.
  • Manage Lifecycle of Improvements: Oversee the lifecycle of all Continual Improvements, ensuring regular updates and appropriate management within the ITSM toolset (ServiceNow).
  • Facilitate Meetings: Conduct regular bi-weekly and ad-hoc meetings to review new and existing Continual Improvement initiatives, ensuring all updates are documented.
  • Provide Post Completion and Monthly Reports: Demonstrate value delivered from completed initiatives and provide monthly reports on the current state of all tickets and assignees.
  • Engage Stakeholders: Ensure all relevant stakeholders are engaged with the practice/process, providing training and promoting the use of the toolset for logging and managing improvements.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in continuous improvement, process improvement, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar is a plus.
