Job Title: Marketing Manager Collections

Location: London, Dordrecht (Hybrid)

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

We are looking for a Content Marketer focused on making our Journal Collections - a collection of articles highlighting emerging and fast-developing areas of research within a field - more visible and appealing to our communities.

This is a highly creative role where you will be responsible for attracting and enhancing researcher engagement and empowering editor and author advocacy through the creation of high volume and diverse content marketing and resources. You will leverage community engagement around key Springer Nature brand narratives, like Research Integrity, Inclusive Science, Open Access, and SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), to further reinforce the benefits of publishing in a Collection and across Springer Nature journal imprints.

Proactive at internal stakeholder collaboration, you will collect topic expertise from content acquisition teams, and insights from our strategy teams, and reflect it in the content, toolkits, events and communications to our (potential) authors and editors. Your main partners will be our Journals Marketing and Social Engagement leads.

You have a good awareness of Springer Nature, our imprints and publishing models, and an understanding of the needs of Author Marketing and Editorial teams, as well as an understanding of the academic industry and trends, and be actively engaged with networks in the researcher landscape.

  • Work with strategy teams to utilise customer insights, market research and social listening to identify topics of interest and shape our value propositions and content closer to these.
  • Working with Strategy, Product & Subject Experts, to develop a partnership strategy looking at key influencers, based on regional strategy, product development and editorial strategy: review tools and engagement channels for reaching these partners and define goals/activities to increase engagement and advocacy for Collections
  • Engage with the Journals Marketing Planning team, to create workflows around content utilisations, and feed through appropriate channels.
  • Create a central library of assets - including templated resources - for use across teams.
  • Build personal profile and engagement in both external and internal stakeholder groups.
  • Identify opportunities to nurture Editor relationships and develop content in collaboration with this external community and key topic influencers to advocate for publishing or editing in a Collection.
  • Support related journal programmes with content marketing, with a particular focus on reputational activities for our imprints associated with Collections publishing.
  • Testing new technologies and internal resources to enhance your production and ideation of content.
