You'll be joining a close-knit, multi-skilled content team of experts, reporting to the Senior Content Editor to ensure our content is accurate, trusted, and discoverable. You'll also play a key role in coaching junior writers and shaping the editorial standards that underpin our success. This is a role for someone who's keen to write, edit and develop content across multiple channels, services, and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

As Content Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

Executing SEO-Led Editorial Strategy
• Work closely with the Senior Editors to deliver search-informed content plans across key product and condition areas.
• Conduct detailed gap analyses, competitor research and content mapping using tools like Semrush, GA4 and Search Console.
• Build and optimise pillar pages, FAQ content and new editorial structures in line with SEO best practice.
Create High-Quality, Trusted Content
• Write a variety of content types yourself - from in-depth health features and buyer's guides to product descriptions and condition explainers.
• Structure, source and produce content that simplifies complex medical concepts while staying compliant and accessible.
• Ensure all content aligns with our brand tone and editorial standards - informative, human, and medically safe.
Edit and Refine Across Formats
• Review and improve content written by others (junior writers, freelance support, or agencies) - ensuring accuracy, clarity, structure, and SEO optimisation.
• Edit for medical compliance in line with MHRA and ASA guidance, working with our clinical team when needed.
• Ensure our editorial content meets the dual needs of search performance and user experience.
Support and Mentor Writers
• Guide writers with briefs, feedback, and coaching to support their growth and improve output quality.
• Uphold our editorial playbook and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
• Be a go-to point for content quality control across the wider team.
Enable Great Campaigns
• Support the Digital PR and content marketing team with research, campaign copywriting, and data-led storytelling.
• Contribute to thought leadership and creative content ideas that push our brand forward.

About You

You'll have a strong background in writing and editing SEO led content with a portfolio that reflects clear, accurate and engaging work. You're comfortable working with briefs, keyword data and CMS platforms, able to manage multiple projects at pace while maintaining high standards. With a sharp editorial eye and a collaborative approach, you enjoy supporting others and are motivated by a genuine interest in making healthcare information more accessible and human.
