Job Title: Content Manager

Locations: At IOSH, we embrace hybrid working because we believe it's the key to achieving work-life balance, strategic success and fostering our collaborative culture. You'll be required to work from our head office in Wigston, Leicester a minimum of 2 days per week (Tuesday- Thursday). The remainder of your working hours will be undertaken from home.

Starting salary: £37,000 - £40,000

Hours per week: 35

About the role

We're seeking a Content Manager to take the lead on content planning, design and governance across IOSH's digital estate. This is a leadership role where you'll shape how our content delivers real value for users while aligning with IOSH's wider strategy.

You'll lead our in-house content team, mentor colleagues, and champion a content-first approach across the organisation. At the same time, you'll work closely with UX, research and external partners to ensure our content is purposeful, accessible and evidence based.

What you'll bring

You'll be a confident leader with deep expertise in content design and strategy. Skilled at turning organisational goals into actionable plans, you'll inspire those around you and use data, research and collaboration to ensure our content is the best it can be.

Essential criteria

  • Proven experience of leading content design and content strategy in complex organisations.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities, including developing and mentoring a content team.
  • Expert understanding of content design principles, tools and techniques for delivering high-quality, user-centred content.
  • Excellent knowledge of content strategy, including governance, lifecycle management, and performance measurement.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work across functions and levels of seniority.
  • Experience working in agile or multidisciplinary environments, collaborating closely with UX, research, and product colleagues.
