Job Description

As a Content Manager - Communications, Carbon and Communities - you will play a vital role in planning and coordinating the production of content to tell Heathrow's story to a wider, digital audience. This role will sit within the Heathrow internal communications team but the individual in the role will be expected to have the outlook and experience to be able to produce multimedia content for use externally and internally.

The role requires strong copywriting and visual storytelling skills, the ability to identify content opportunities, and engaging with stakeholders to develop a coordinated content plan. Excellent writing skills, understanding Heathrow's strategy, and building relationships across the airport are essential.

This role is Monday to Friday with occasional out of hours engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Producing content including videos, infographics, photography, animations and blog copy for use across Heathrow's communications channels.
  • Maintaining a content planner and collaborating with people across the function and business to populate it and ensure it fits with wider strategic objectives.
  • Regularly monitoring and auditing channel content ls in their responsible to ensure content is up to date and delivering the best return for investment .
  • Providing line management and leadership to a direct report in the content team.
  • Demonstrating the flexibility to operate within different functional teams when the need arises as a part of a 'one communication team' approach.
  • Participating in crisis communications and be part of the internal communications team's roster for incident response.

Qualifications

  • Proven understanding and experience in digital content design, including experience intechnical expertise in filming and editing video and static imagery and using its its associated software like Adobe Photoshop.
  • Awareness of digital analytic tools and experience in using these to determine effectiveness of content.
  • Confident and creative multi-channel communicator who likes embracing change and spotting improvements and helping others to do so.
  • Excellent organisational, written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong relationship management, and team skills.
  • Experience of working with internal clients and gaining their trust through advising and influencing on comms best practice and solutions in a fast-paced change environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Ideally you will also have:

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design skills and previous work on promotional content and brand materials.

Working Location

Our agile approach offers the opportunity to combine home working with meetings, events and training at the airport. All roles involve some on-site working each week, so you'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
