Role Outline:

The Growth Partner is responsible for developing and executing growth plans focused on a portfolio of industries and accounts focused on high value outcome based services, utilising the full breadth of Technology Consulting capabilities. The role will interface with Markets for deal pursuits pertaining to the specific industries cutting across all technology domains.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop Growth Strategies to Target Industries/Clients and Position Tech Consulting

  • Develop and execute growth strategies to identify and target potential clients within industry verticals or technology areas
  • Pro-actively work with account teams to identify growth opportunities where Consulting can play a leading role
  • Identify and target net new Cognizant clients that would benefit from a technology consulting lead strategy either via personal or partner networks
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relations with existing Markets and Industry Consulting teams helping identify where Tech Consulting can help assure and grow Cognizant revenue.

Develop Differentiated Points of View to Target new lines of Business

  • Take a leading role with Markets and Industry Consulting teams helping identify tech trends and develop differentiated offerings/PoVs that will resonate with our customers to generate new lines of business

Drive Growth for Key Accounts

  • Drive business development efforts, including qualifying leads, pitching solutions and negotiating commercials
  • Work with CPs/CRMs to drive the complete sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships, ensuring high client satisfaction and repeat business
  • Act as an advisor/SME to our clients, driving the early stages of delivery to ensure onward growth

Foster a "growth" mindset

  • Mentor and support Tech Consulting associates, providing a commercial viewpoint and foster a culture of "growth"
  • Collaborate and with Consulting Leaders (CTOs, Practice Leads, Industry Consulting), position and sell the Consulting Services
  • Support associates in the qualification, costing and development of Tech Consulting proposals outside of core growth accounts
  • Effectively communicate the value of Tech Consulting services to Service Lines and support the tailoring of solutions for mutual benefit

Thought Leadership

  • Publish and educate the market and drive commercial conversations
  • Act as a thought leader with our strategic clients to help shape strategy and drive new lines of business

Key competencies required:

  • Technical prowess: Deep solutioning expertise in Functional/Practice area to bring together practice offerings to address customer needs, and to create proof of concepts if needed, as well as credentialize solutions
  • Technical Domain knowledge: Deep knowledge of Tech Consulting services globally; ability to communicate across stakeholders
  • Commercial knowledge: Ability to analyze sales opportunities and qualify leads and opportunities
  • Executive Presence: Effective executive communication skills to clearly articulate vision and lead effective teams across the enterprise; productively challenge counterparts, bringing valuable insights
  • Relationship management: Outstanding interpersonal abilities; skilled in managing relationships with executive leadership and business units, effectively aligning stakeholders to strategic plans and mediating conflict
  • Leadership experience: Excellent organizational and leadership skills to build strong Strategy function and lead by example; strong project management, budgeting, talent management, and business operations skills
