Client engagements are predominantly with organisations facing important transitions. Engagements are typically driven by business unit leaders, CDOs, COOs and other members of the senior management team. Client engagements may be as short as a few months, but can also evolve into multi-year, wide-ranging and transformative relationships. You will play a critical role in both developing and delivering data solutions for our clients. You will work closely with clients to better understand their business needs and develop solutions that leverage the latest AI & Data technologies.

Your role
As a practitioner in AI & Data, you will be responsible for leading and delivering data management initiatives on client projects. You will devise innovative solutions to help our clients address their biggest data challenges, focusing on establishing robust data governance frameworks, improving data quality, managing data migrations, and implementing effective master and metadata management strategies.
Our projects vary greatly and your responsibility will differ based on your level, experience and the focus of the client engagement, but could include and may require you to:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and deliver cutting edge data solutions to address their challenges, ambitions and objectives.
- Support the design, development, and implementation of complex data pipelines, data warehouses, and analytical solutions
- Architect and build robust data platforms utilising cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Translate complex business problems into technical requirements and actionable data strategies.
- Develop, validate, and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions to address specific client challenges, such as risk assessment, fraud detection, claims optimisation, and customer personalisation.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to clients and stakeholders, and provide recommendations for addressing any challenges that arise.
- Mentor and guide junior data professionals, fostering their technical and consulting skills.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and the latest advancements in data & AI technology and identify opportunities to incorporate new tools and techniques into client solutions.
- Contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing and solution design.
- Provide thought leadership and contribute to the development of innovative data solutions, sharing your expertise and best practices with clients and colleagues.
Your professional experience
Candidates must have experience in some or all the following areas:
- Good understanding of data concepts such as data modelling, data management, data quality, master data management, reference data, reporting and visualisation, AI
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues and propose practical, data-driven solutions
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to tell a compelling story by structuring thoughts in a way that is engaging and easy to follow, including using data visualisations to evidence and articulate arguments
- Ability to work independently, think strategically and solve problems, identifying opportunities for innovation and growth while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality solutions that meet or exceed client expectations
- Exceptional time management skills to manage competing priorities, across client service, practice development, and business development responsibilities
- Agile delivery environments
- Project and programme management
- Programming skills in SQL, Python, or similar languages relevant to data manipulation and scripting.
- Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using SQL and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop). Experience with ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and automated workflows for moving and processing data.
- Familiarity with data modelling techniques (e.g., dimensional, relational) and data architecture principles.

We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
