Job Description

An exciting opportunity to be part of the Store Development team delivering projects across the estate in both Food and Clothing & Home stores. Delivering fit out projects for new stores and transforming the existing store estate in readiness for the future. Working as part of the wider Property team to deliver ambitious targets to transform the built environment and therefore the Customer offer.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to deliver construction and fit out projects, preferably in a Retail environment. Experience in management of internal partners and the Supply base is crucial to enable successful delivery of projects from conception through to handover.

The ability to see opportunities and apply continuous improvement to project delivery is essential. This role will play a key part in our business transformation, providing delivery of schemes at pace to quality and cost measures, to challenging timelines to match the business plan.

To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What you'll do
Your key accountabilities will include

• Relevant industry experience in Construction / Fit out, preferably in a Retail environment. The ability to delivery schemes from end to end through all project stages.
• Strong management skills and the ability to influence others to drive performance in delivery of any given scheme.
• Self-motivated and able to travel across the UK and ROI when required.
• To be able to work with a large group of varied partners utilising different approaches in each situation.
• A teammate, able to contribute to the wider department deliverables.

Your skills and experience will include

• Experience in programme and project management
• Excellent organisation skills
• Ability to interpret and analyse large amounts of data to inform decision making
• Knowledge and experience of the retail construction/facilities management sector
• Proven partner management and ability to communicate effectively at all levels internally and externally
