Are you passionate about facilities management and construction? We're looking for a dedicated Project Manager to oversee end-to-end management of FM construction projects within our North Division. You'll be responsible for ensuring that Programme, H&S, Quality, and Budget restraints are met, collaborating with contractors to scope and cost projects, and finding cost-effective solutions. You'll communicate project activities to store teams and oversee Pre-Development, Coordination, and On-Site Delivery of construction works, including project approval, risk escalation, and documentation. Projects will include refrigeration, HVAC, roofing, mechanical handling, and building fabric. Additionally, you'll work closely with consultants and our facilities partner, City FM, to develop a robust Asset Investment plan for future years. We're seeking someone with a deep understanding of FM construction issues, a commitment to improving facilities/construction processes, and the ability to make data-informed decisions to enhance investment lifecycles. What you'll do
Your key accountabilities will include
- Deliver projects through the established project stages of: Feasibility, Development, Approval, Mobilisation, Delivery & Close Out
- Be able to manage multiple construction projects from pre-construction to the completed end structure. It will involve management of people and resources to control scope, cost, quality and programme.
- Have the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to manage and carry out works safely.
- Provide appropriate levels of input and guidance for each programme, follow project governance & event stage criteria set out by the programme office to ensure effective and timely decision making through relevant forums
- Co-ordinate the supply chain base to deliver projects in the appropriate way
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include
- Experience in programme and project management
- Excellent organisation skills
- Ability to interpret and analyse large amounts of data to inform decision making
- Knowledge and experience of the retail construction/facilities management sector
- Proven partner management and ability to communicate effectively at all levels internally and externally
