Construction Manager - Major Energy Infrastructure Projects (UK-Based)
Lead on-site delivery for projects valued between £15m and £100m.
A leading Independent Power Producer is delivering some of the UK's most ambitious energy infrastructure schemes-with over £3bn in active projects, 2GW in operation, and 14GW+ of consented capacity. As the portfolio scales, we're hiring a Construction Manager to take ownership of site delivery across large-scale energy assets, including battery storage, hydrogen-ready thermal plants, and grid flexibility infrastructure.
This is a client-side role, acting as the lead on-site representative overseeing EPC contractors and subcontractors. You'll be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of works across civils, M&E, and commissioning phases.
Your Role
- Lead day-to-day construction activities on major infrastructure sites.
- Act as the key site interface between the client and EPC delivery teams.
- Monitor programme progress, safety compliance, and quality standards.
- Coordinate subcontractors, manage site documentation, and ensure timely reporting.
- Drive performance across packages, resolve issues, and maintain momentum.
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, HSE policies, and site procedures.
- Support commissioning planning and interface with design and engineering teams.
- Maintain a safe, well-organised site and promote continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or Construction Manager on infrastructure projects (£15m+).
- Background in civils, M&E, or energy sector construction.
- Strong understanding of EPC delivery models and client-side responsibilities.
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple contractors and maintain high standards under pressure.
Why This Role?
- Be the client's lead on-site for nationally significant energy projects.
- Join a high-growth IPP with a clear path to scale and long-term impact.
- Work on complex, high-value infrastructure with real-world outcomes.
- Competitive salary, benefits, and career development opportunities.
