As Construction and Facilities Project Manager at COS, you will lead, manage and organize a variety of different construction and facilities management projects globally with a high level of professionalism and in respect of cost, time, quality, compliance and sustainability. You ensure that the brand identity, DNA and specific customer needs are understood and incorporated in all relevant work such as new store projects, rebuilds and store maintenance.

What you will be doing

  • You challenge and drive value engineering in every project as well as recommend improvements that can be made to COS How to build and FM guidelines.
  • You support with preparation of budgets and business cases as well as follow-up on costs to secure financial transparency and appropriate sign-off.
  • You will visit local C&F teams and drive, coach and motivate them to deliver projects and FM services for COS in an efficient way and within set KPIs ensuring COS's standards and expectations are met
  • You will closely collaborate and engage with other stakeholders in COS, markets and global expansion, to drive constant improvements regarding developments, standards, processes & communication.
  • Work closely with Head of Department to implement COS Facilities Management strategy and translate into operational activities and actions.
  • Understand and clarify to markets COS needs in respect to project processes and investment handling.
  • You will learn and understand potential challenges and opportunities specific to different markets, both internal and external, and able to challenge, give feedback and recommend solutions.
  • Understand change orders & their origins, challenge them and provide alternative solutions. Create an action plan to avoid these in the future.
  • Collaborate with all functions in the growth and business development team, contribute to an efficient information- and workflow and lead the department towards the set long- and short-term goals.
  • Supporting with reviewing and analysing business cases and budgets for board approval.
  • Have an overview of COS's long-term pipeline including both larger facility investments and changes to the portfolio composition and new markets to ensure timely actions
  • Be involved in the development of new and existing store concepts and interior, bring expertise of constructing and maintaining stores as well as innovation within build environment.
  • Secure the COS's Energy Management in both existing stores and future changes to the portfolio together with the sustainability specialist.
  • Take ownership of the value-engineering process in each project, setting and follow up investment levels in both projects and services including any changes to contracted scope.

What you need to succeed

  • Previous experience within a construction or facilities project management role within the retail industry
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enjoys working in an international environment.
  • Proactive approach to work tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong organisational skills to be able to coordinate multiple projects at one time.
  • Have the future way of working in mind when creating processes
  • Availability to travel when needed
