The team

Connectivity is the ITV team who are responsible for getting our live programmes to air or on to our platforms correctly with all the right metadata, audio and video and access services. Our mission is to successfully achieve this while improving our on-air performance and reducing issues, continuously evolving to support ITV's growth and successfully delivering our content wherever it is required.

The role

As a Connectivity Executive you will co-ordinate, plan and manage the delivery of live or as-live programming for transmission across our family of channels and ITVX. You will work closely with other ITV teams as well as external suppliers and production teams so we are looking for someone who can build good work relationships. High attention to detail is required and you must ensure that all producers of live or as-live material adhere to the ITV Technical Standards for Delivery of Programmes.

Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)

  • Ability to work accurately and methodically to tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build good relations with other ITV teams as well as external suppliers and production teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Eagerness to support and cover for other team members during busy periods or to cover absence.
  • Adaptable and have the ability to embrace changing working practices and new systems.
  • Willingness to challenge established procedures, identify and offer suggestions for improvement.

Other things we're looking for (key criteria)

  • A media background is advantageous with a good understanding of TV broadcast workflows.
  • Experience of a broadcast, TV production or ITIL service delivery environment
  • Experience of dealing with live programme delivery techniques
  • Understanding of the end-to-end process required to deliver live TV programmes to playout
  • Experience of resource management software (ScheduAll, Video iPath etc) and diagram creation software (Visio, Omnigraffle)
