Job Title: Configuration Leader

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Up to £52,000, depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Undertaking Configuration management activities through analysing and reporting data
  • Leading the development of toolsets to enable verification of Design Change Embodiment and management of associated physical verification activities
  • Managing non-conformance across the Engineering and Build stakeholders through coordinating processes for concessions
  • Chairing Concessions board meetings and technical meetings regarding product design and non-conformance
  • Acting as a key interface with the customer and industry partners
  • Managing and leading a small team of professionals

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Extensive understanding of Configuration Management requirements, techniques and processes
  • Experience developing Configuration Management toolsets and reporting methods
  • Project Management experience
  • Excellent leadership experience
  • Good stakeholder management experience

Desirable:

  • Recognised Engineering qualification (e.g. CMII qualification or HNC)
  • Project Management qualification (e.g. AMQ or Prince2)
  • Proficiency with SAP, Teamcenter or similar toolsets

The Configuration Status Accounting team:

This varied and developing role where your input will define new processes and future ways of working. You’ll gain exposure across the entire function, including senior partners. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
