Avara Foods is an inclusive, forward-thinking business and we take pride in our approach to investing in our people across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Compliance Systems Manager to join our Technical Team for, based at either of our Brackley/Telford or Hereford sites.

The role is office based, with occasional factory-based working where required.

Working hours will be - Monday to Friday 08.30 - 17.00

What will you be doing as a Compliance Systems Manager at Avara?

As a Compliance Systems Manager, you will play a key role in supporting Avara's Technical Management Systems by analyzing and communicating new requirements. You will work closely with technical teams on QMS-related projects, ensuring their successful implementation through system integration. Additionally, you will advocate for the effective use of systems across the Technical function and step in as a deputy for the Senior Quality Systems Manager when necessary.

What will your key responsibilities as a Compliance Systems Manager include?

  • Ensuring Milo is up to date with all current customer Technical code of practices/policies and 3rd party standards.
  • Undertaking gap analysis on new or amended customer code of practices/policies and third-party standards.
  • Co-ordinating and assisting with site gap analysis and following up on actions raised.
  • To ensure that all manufacturing sites are provided with the necessary information, documentation and updates associated with the QMS on an ongoing basis.
  • Provide top line monthly analysis on iAuditor internal audit non-conformances.
  • To perform independent system audits as required to check QMS compliance.
  • To support in providing training for systems e.g. Milo and iAuditor (training new people and also training out new features).
  • To assist in maintaining iAuditor internal audits in line with requirements, including amending templates as new/amended requirements are implemented.
  • Provide support to Site Technical teams in external audits.
  • To work with other departments (including Agriculture, NPD, IT) to ensure best practices for quality management systems and data management software solutions are adopted.
  • Assist in driving group projects and exploring the use of systems for QMS/EMS/EnMS functions.
  • Implementation of the Technical, Environmental and Energy Collaboration and Teams pages on MILO and subsequent maintenance.
  • Support Technical Services with Recipe Professor.
  • Support Supplier Assurance with Sinica, Authenticate & iAuditor
  • To support Engineering with Sinica Contractor Management.
  • To maintain, support and develop the functionality of the systems including responding to day-to-day queries.
  • Apply an effective system to assist with training.
  • Departmental Expert on Power BI.
