Location - Birmingham.
Salary : Base salary: £41,092 pa to c.£48,344 pa depending on skills and experience. In addition, we offer flexible benefits fund of 15% which is paid on top base salary and is fully pensionable, as well as a range of competitive benefits - check them out in the Benefits section on our website.

As a Compliance Manager at HS2 you will responsible for assuring all commitment compliance activities, including project managing the lifecycle of processes for Undertakings and Assurances (U&As), working with internal teams and the supply chain to ensure compliance
About the Role
- To be responsible for assuring all commitment compliance activities on behalf of HS2 stakeholders.
- Project managing the lifecycle of processes required for complying with U&As, working with internal teams and the supply chain.
- To collaborate with teams to support and guide the development of compliance plans to meet U&A requirements and to ensure evidence is recorded in appropriate systems.
- To provide instruction and facilitation to ensure U&As are managed to minimise risk to HS2.
- To be responsible for completing assurance checks and audit.
- To ensure the process for dealing with non-compliance and potential noncompliance is adhered to.
- To be responsible for contributing to all compliance reporting as required.
- To have accountability to work across HS2 and the supply chain to ensure consistency of a risk-based approach in the management of U&As.
- To assure effective change management for commitments from their initiation to sign off.
- To be accountable for coordinating dispute resolution and identifying risks and opportunities.
About You
Skills:
- Ability to deliver monitoring and reporting arrangements in a complex and demanding environment.
- Ability to deliver compliance monitoring and reporting.
- Ability to achieve timely and accurate delivery whilst paying close attention to detail.
- Ability to produce written and verbal communications which convey complex details in a simple manner.
- Ability to engage a range of stakeholders with transparency and integrity both within the public and private sectors, on projects or policy areas of comparable scale, scope and complexity
- Effective time management.
- Conflict management.
- Problem solving.
Knowledge:
- All Microsoft applications and DOORS (preferable).
- Knowledge and experience of ISO9001auditing principles.
- Understanding of risk methodology.
Type of experience:
- Ability to deliver in a maturing environment against challenging timescales and developing requirements.
- Experience of high-quality compliance management and reporting.
- Experience of providing counsel across an organisation.
- Experience of compliance in any doctrine.
- Experience of working in a political and/or regulated environment/sector.
- Experience of Project Management.
- Working to manager level.
- Dealing with conflict and difficult scenarios.
