Part of the wider Finance community, we are a forward thinking Property team comprising c40 employees. We have multi-disciplinary property skills with wide ranging experience and capability. Across our team, we specialise in commercial lettings in our stations and arch portfolio, strategic land development, property services, workplace management, planning and major project support. Brief Description

The purpose of this role is review and identification of underlying causes of non-compliance with legislation, Company Standards and key processes including the consolidation of reporting of key compliance indicators. Act as the key point of contact in NW&C Property for assurance and compliance issues.

Brief description:

As Compliance & Assurance Advisor in the NW&C Property Team, you'll be leading the annual assurance programmes across our commercial and non-operational Property estates, working with our tenants and Property Asset Management team to ensure we remain compliant with our statutory obligations.

What you will be doing:

You'll work closely with our Heads of Commercial Asset Management and Workplace to deliver a range of annual assurance programmes aligned to the new Property Physical Asset Management Framework. You will manage a range of specialist contractors in undertaking safety and compliance inspections, ensuring all 1st and 2nd line assurance is completed on time. You will also be responsible for managing the timely close-out of any non-compliances and reporting key safety and compliance metrics to our Regional Property Director.

A key aspect of the role will be interpreting the outputs of our 1st line assurance inspections and instructing reactive maintenance works to our framework contractors. You will also work closely with our Buildings and Facilities Surveyors to ensure that any planned works are carried out safely and in a timely manner. In both cases, you may be required to support activities on site.

About the role (External)

1. Consolidation and reporting of key compliance indicators, together with review against Company Standards and identification of underlying causes.

2. Monitor the creation and completion of action plans to close non conformances and effective utilisation of relevant databases.

3. Act as lead for co-ordination of integrated maintenance audit plans within the route.

4. Act as the key point of contact for maintenance compliance and assurance within the routeto provide consistency.

5. Consolidate and monitor all matters associated with the Office of the Rail Regulator for the route teams.

6. Interface as required with other functions.

7. Coordinate standards stakeholder review process.

In order to be successful in this role, we would like you to have/to be:

Essential

• Experience in compliance and assurance management processes and systems

• Understand maintenance delivery process and techniques

• Good communication and organisation and interpersonal skills

Desirable

• Knowledge of operational railway environment

• Knowledge and experience working with commercial and non-operational Property assets
