Part Time - 30 hours per week, PermanentBased at Chancery Street Office, Barton HillThe Bristol Community Meals service provides a hot lunchtime meal delivery service to customers across Bristol. The service also supports independence with a vital daily wellbeing check. The service operates 364 days a year and delivers up to 300 meals a day.

About the RoleAs an Assistant Manager, you will join a welcoming and dedicated team responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of the Community Meals service.

You will have management responsibility for a diverse staff team, including drivers, customer service advisors and catering support. You will be expected to maintain professional standards, support individual performance and contribute to a positive team culture.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and supporting staff performance and daily operations
  • Overseeing route planning and delivery logistics
  • Coordinating menu planning, purchasing and financial processes
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety and risk management
  • Maintaining excellent customer service
  • Providing operational support, including occasional weekend and bank holiday cover
  • Deputising for the Community Meals Manager in their absence
