This is a great opportunity to join an exciting and thriving organisation based in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex.
Community development officer - rural Rother
Full-time (35 hours), Scale 5: £27,711 to £30,060
Are you driven by community development and enjoy building links between people and organisations? Rother Voluntary Action (RVA) is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic community development officer to join our team.
About us
RVA supports and connects organisations that deliver voluntary and community services in Rother's towns and villages, such as Bexhill, Robertsbridge, Rye, Battle, Camber and Burwash.
We support and champion the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector to make positive change, challenge issues and grow new ideas to strengthen communities.
About you
You're passionate about working hand-in-hand with rural communities, helping them shape the solutions that matter most. You thrive on building connections, sparking ideas, and supporting local voices to be heard in the decisions that affect them. With a background in community development, you're just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves and working independently as you are teaming up with others. You will need to travel across Rother to meet people where they are, so a driving licence and use of a car is a necessary requirement.
Equality and Diversity matters
RVA is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected. We believe that a diverse workforce, with a variety of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives, is essential. We encourage applications from all qualified individuals, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law. RVA is dedicated to providing equal opportunities for all employees and fostering a culture of belonging.
Application forms should be returned to: office@rva.uk.com
Interviews will be held: Wednesday 24 September
