Community Development Manager
This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.
Do you believe in the power of community? Are you motivated by helping people connect, grow, and create meaningful change together? Leeds Beckett Students' Union is looking for a Community Development Manager who is committed to building inclusive, supportive, and empowering spaces for our student groups.
In this role, no two days look the same. You'll be at the heart of campus life; leading the development of our student groups offer, ensuring every student feels welcome, supported and able to find their community at Leeds Beckett. Whether it's academic, equality or cultural communities, or shared-interest societies, you'll help them thrive and grow.
You'll also play a key part in our Community Organising programme, helping students understand the issues that matter to them, bring people together, and take positive action. Whether you're helping a new society get off the ground or supporting experienced leaders through their next big project, your work will directly improve the student experience at Leeds Beckett.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience supporting volunteers, student groups or community organisations, and for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, listening carefully, and helping others reach their potential.
We pride ourselves on being a compassionate employer that takes staff wellbeing seriously. Our most recent survey results show that more than 93% of staff at LBSU would recommend our organisation as a great, flexible place to work that provides a healthy work-life balance.
