Communities and Social Impact Manager
Guildford
An opportunity has arisen for a Communities and Social Impact Manager to join the team at Galliford Try.
Ideally, you will based in or around Guildford and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region.
What you will be doing:
To facilitate internal and external communication activities for community projects and Social Value across the Building Southern region supporting Regional Social Value Manager, ensuring Galliford Try's values (EPIC) are displayed always.
- Assisting with delivering the Building Southern Community and Social Impact Strategy. This includes helping establish relevant procedures, processes and tools to place online for effective Community working
- Be an ambassador for delivering excellence, Building Southern No 1 Business Strategy
- Be responsible for the regional updates of the Community and Sustainability elements of our intranet
- Support CCS Best practice for our Region and transferring this to site via site visits, training etc. Review CCS scores/per year to seek improvements in our scores
- Assist in achieving our regional target on the number of Apprentice placements/training opportunities created
- Apprentice support- ensure reviews are undertaken, regular contact with the mentors and apprentice providers
- Capture and report Community and Social Impact KPI's
- Support the Supply Chain team in getting our "Strategic Alliance" sub-contractors to generate Employment opportunities
- Support the PM in maximising local employment and training with equal opportunity for all ensuring the Employment and Skills targets are met
- Prepare newsletters, posters & other such literature promoting community initiatives
- Identify & develop links with local charities as appropriate
- Present safety & construction site awareness sessions in school assemblies
- Attend & support neighbour open evenings as/if necessary
- Record all complaints and compliments on one tracker
- Implement and comply with Galliford Try's HS&E policies
