Communications Specialist, International Stores Communications (PR)
DESCRIPTION
Amazon's International Stores Communications team is seeking a strategic communications professional to support our EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regions.
This role focuses on two key programs: Prime and Delivery Experience, serving as a central topic specialist to improve customer perception of Amazon Prime's value proposition and Amazon's convenient and reliable delivery experience.
You will collaborate with global teams to develop and execute strategic communications initiatives across multiple geographies. Working at the intersection of consumer engagement and business operations, you'll help shape narratives that resonate with diverse audiences while maintaining Amazon's high standards for clear, impactful communication.
Key job responsibilities
• Develop and adapt communications strategies across EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regions in partnership with U.S.-based topic leads
• Execute strategic communications programs with in-country teams globally
• Plan, implement, and measure multi-channel consumer campaigns
• Provide communication guidance on risk mitigation and media messaging to business teams
• Manage crisis communications and reactive issues
• Lead agency relationships and work strategically with our central international agency partners on comms activations
• Create, improve and maintain standardized communication resources and best practices
You will drive strategic planning for proactive campaigns, create compelling messaging, and collaborate cross-functionally to leverage business insights. The role includes managing communications during business changes, developing toolkits for international PR teams, and supporting executive communications through various channels.
A day in the life
In this role, you will drive strategic planning for proactive campaigns and announcements, creating compelling narratives that resonate across diverse markets. By collaborating cross-functionally, you'll leverage key business insights to inform and enhance our communication strategies. Your responsibilities will extend to managing sensitive issues and developing reactive communication plans during business experiments. You'll create comprehensive toolkits that empower international PR teams to tell localized stories effectively. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in supporting executive communications across various channels, including script writing, copy writing for social media. Your work will directly influence how Amazon's Prime and Delivery Experience programs are perceived by millions of customers worldwide.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in professional communications or public relations
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in developing and executing communication strategies
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in international or multi-market communications
- Track record of successful agency management
- Experience in retail or e-commerce communications
