We are recruiting for a Temporary Communications Manager to join a prestigious Oxford University department on an immediate start basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications professional to support a high-profile research environment focused on innovation and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop external communications including website content, press releases and digital messaging
  • Lead social media activity across multiple platforms
  • Coordinate internal communications, newsletters and stakeholder engagement
  • Support communications for events, meetings and public engagement activities
  • Create engaging content for recruitment campaigns and opportunities
  • Ensure communications align with University branding and best practice
  • Monitor and evaluate communications effectiveness to drive continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in digital and print communications
  • Strong social media and web content management skills
  • Ability to communicate complex information to non-specialist audiences
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently
  • Experience building strong professional relationships with stakeholders
  • Interest in AI and emerging digital trends within communications
