Summary

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated and creative marketing and communications specialist, to sink their teeth in a campaign around corporates that want to source fossil fuel free electricity (carbon free) every hour, every week. This is new terrain in the energy transition, and as part of a small team the candidate will be exploring that new territory with some of the largest companies in the world, pushing the boundaries and speeding up the energy transition. This a part- time position (4 days/week) until at least November 2025, we're looking to hire someone by mid-July.

About the role

The energy transition is moving fast, and so will this role. We're starting a new campaign to push for carbon free electricity every hour, every day, and this position will be a key driver of the campaign when it comes to Marketing and Communications. One day you'll be working to highlight some of the great work of our partners, the next you're drafting a video-script, writing for a newsletter, taking a tech-deep dive on battery storage with experts, or updating our site - data led, making our customer journey as efficient as possible.

You won't be alone, though: you'll not just be part of a small, dedicated campaigns team, but also of a wider international comms team where you can bank on the knowledge of marketing, comms, media, public affairs and events specialists. Together, we work on the biggest issue of our time: fighting climate change.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Drive marketing, communications and media work around our 24/7 CFE campaign
  • Build and implement our strategic and integrated innovative marketing/comms campaign for the 24/7 CFE initiative, using the full breadth of the marcomms toolkit, including media, digital, social, and newsletters.
  • Lead on the development of a campaign website, project managing internal and external stakeholders, creating an impactful user experience for visitors.
  • Drive corporate buy-in for the transition to hourly matched carbon free electricity, building an engaged, international network of brand ambassadors.
  • Deliver the right messaging, at the right time, in the most effective way, to support and deliver the aims of our key initiatives to our key audiences.
  • Work closely with the 24/7 CFE campaign team and the wider communications team to effectively communicate technical concepts to a range of stakeholders, adhering to best practice and seeking innovative ways to drive global awareness.
  • Help shape Energy and 24/7 CFE sessions during our key events (including Climate Week NYC).

Essential

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced communications team delivering strategic multi-channel (corporate) campaigns, including developing digital content
  • Experience of managing relationships with key campaign partners and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of, or strong interest in, the energy transition
  • Outcome driven with high ambitions for the organisation and your own work
  • Innovative, always looking for ways to improve outputs and processes Focused on using the best tools to evaluate marketing and comms effectiveness
  • Experience working with stakeholder databases and digital marketing systems, in particular Salesforce and Pardot
  • Focused on using the best tools to evaluate marketing and comms effectiveness

Desirable

  • Experience with website CMS and project managing website builds
  • Experience with media

Our location

You'll be based in our London head office near Tower Bridge, and will enjoy the benefits of flexible and hybrid working: 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

This is a fixed-term part-time position (4 days a week) until November 2025, with the possibility of renewal depending on funding.

The salary offered is £39,000 to £42,850 per annum, based on experience.
