The Opportunity

The role reports to the Head of Brand & Global Programs and is responsible for managing global communications projects working with stakeholders in Marketing, Finance, People Experience (PX/HR) and the Senior Leadership Team to scope and fulfil their communication needs in line with agreed departmental communication strategies. The role will also be responsible for independently creating communication plans and messages with the help of stakeholders and owning execution plans.

  • Contribute to Gentrack's communications strategy by developing and implementing the global communications timetable ensuring all communications are aligned to relevant channels
  • Develop innovative and effective ways of communicating with our diverse, hybrid, multi-location workforce ensuring communications channels across the company are consistent in terms of style, tone of voice and brand
  • Use evidence and insight to drive improvements to our internal communication channels
  • Establish and monitor appropriate metrics to measure outputs and outcomes against the required business objectives
  • Creating content for the organisation to release - such as writing blogs, social media posts, newsletter content, looking at industry trends to draft stories and communicate such as part of a wider comms plan
  • Overseeing and implementing daily communications activity including company-wide emails, newsletters etc
  • With the support from the Head of Brand & Global Programs, work in conjunction with stakeholders to deliver the C-led communication plan. Deliverables to include, but not limited to, CEO Town Halls, presentations at internal events, videos, emails and other innovative communication methods
  • Liaising with People Experience on global internal communications, writing communications following short briefing sessions
  • Working closely and liaising with regional marketing to ensure internal comms align and meet company objectives
  • Providing tactical support for ad hoc global programs, including our annual company conference when needed

Who you are:

  • This role would suit a second/third job communications professional with 3-5 years' experience, looking for a challenging role to further broaden their experience in a fast-paced, growing, multi-location organisation
  • Excellent verbal, writing, editing and proof-reading skills with an ability to story-tell and a proven track record in delivering to a multi-location global business
  • Prior experience of managing communication channels, including intranet, email, weekly newsletters and 'townhall' style briefings and the ability to use and learn various software packages if needed
  • Understanding of communications practices and trends and how they influence audiences - i.e., employees, customers, prospects etc.

Other helpful skills:

  • Understanding of the energy industry, including key companies- MUST
  • Experience working in tech or for a software vendor.
  • Experience in driving international growth through marketing initiatives.
  • Experience working in a start-up environment or smaller company with a big vision.
  • A generalist by nature - happy to get stuck in across the marketing mix.

This role is in the detail, end-to-end and hands on. You'll need to be a self-starter with knowledge, ideas and the ability to inspire others.
