This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.

Job Description

Marie Curie is the UK's leading end-of-life charity. We are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, the only provider across all 4 nations, delivering community nursing and hospice care across the country, while providing information and support on all aspects of dying, death, and bereavement. Our leading research pushes the boundaries of what we know about good end-of-life, and our campaigns fight for a world where everyone gets to have the best possible quality of life while living with an illness they're likely to die from.

We want a different society than the one we live in now. Our mission for the next five years is to close the gap in the number of people missing out on what they need at the end-of-life, through 3 ways:

  • Growing and transforming our direct care and support
  • Delivering more practical information and support
  • Leading in shaping the end-of-life experience

Your role in our mission...

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead communications, PR, and engagement plans to meet partnership goals, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and share stories from Morrisons employees and Marie Curie beneficiaries to enhance fundraising efforts across various media.
  • Implement social media strategies and serve as the main point of contact for marketing materials.
  • Collaborate on PR activities, events, and media relations, supporting national campaigns and maintaining relationships with key media outlets.
  • Create internal communications to inspire Morrisons colleagues and customers, delivering engagement plans and digital content.
  • Manage digital fundraising efforts, monitoring online campaigns and contributing to new initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support and updates on partnership activities, while contributing to innovative fundraising events for Morrisons staff.

Key criteria:

  • Solid experience in marketing and communications with a proven track record of developing and delivering multi-channel integrated campaigns.
  • Experience briefing in and managing projects across internal departments and external agencies including marketing agencies, PR agencies, media owners and suppliers.
  • Excellent communication skills, including influencing and stakeholder management.
  • Proven ability to work and communicate with a wide range of people at all levels in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands and pressures.
  • Able to plan and deliver activity involving multiple stakeholders, taking into account different considerations and views and using strong judgement and initiative to problem solve as needed.
