About the team:

This position sits within the Global Markets Division (MARK) of SOCIETE GENERALE. You will join the engineering department in London which brings together, under one umbrella, the Equities, Fixed Income & Currencies and Commodities structuring capabilities with the objective of providing investors with integrated multi-asset market solutions.

The investment strategies solutions team designs index solutions that are either tailor-made according to specific client guidelines or created by our expert teams when a strategic opportunity has been detected in the public markets or to provide access to certain assets.

Summary of Key Purposes of the Role:

• Research, develop and implement systematic strategies in an index format in cooperation with the relevant Business Lines, with a focus on commodity underlyings, according to the following objectives:

• Maximization of profitability (P&L MARK associated with products linked to systematic strategies),

• Robustness and sustainability of the risk return profile

• Build portfolios of systematic strategies with a specific investment objective

• Provide all the necessary information to the governance team (ISP).

• Push the QIS offer in a pro-active way (internal communication, push to sales team, client meetings).

• Bring necessary technical support and training to sales, pricing and trading teams.

Responsibilities:

• Research, develop and implement new systematic strategies by backtesting new ideas primarly on commodities.

• Support EMEA sales in client calls and events related to systematic strategies and insure the smooth management of requests.

• Work closely with the origination team to coordinate the push and promote systematic strategies internally and externally.

• Keep a smooth communication with ISP team (governance team) and make sure to respect the processes.

• Contribute to supporting the Casablanca staff on systematic strategies maintenance subjects.

• Make sure the information flow is fluid and transparent in both way between Paris, London and New York on commercial, and development projects.

Work Experience:

Previous experience in quantitative investment strategies structuring.

Education:

Graduate from a top university with a Master's degree preferred
