Location: London based with regular UK travel and occasional travel to global locations may be required

The Commercial Visual Merchandising Manager role is an exciting opportunity to be responsible for the physical MV in-store experience and product VM. You will have a strong eye for detail alongside exceptional organisation and analysis skills. The ideal candidate will be a clear communicator who has experience in managing projects end to end, whether that is liaising with suppliers to land our window schemes through to training the store managers on VM.
What you'll do
You will work in the Visual Experience team, alongside store build project manager/s and as part of the wider Commercial/Retail Team. You will take overall creative direction from the General Manager of Visual experience, to ensure our retail locations are updated in line with the Brand calendar to reflect key campaigns and commercial moments. You will also collaborate with other key departments representing retail's VM needs. You will align with Brand, NPD, Ecommerce, Merchandising and other departments on the physical execution of the MV Brand in store.
Working with key functions in the business, using data, in store observation/feedback, and competitor research you will define best practice approaches, processes and activities and will be responsible for rolling this out to MV physical locations, driving excellence in standards.
You will plan and execute the VM schemes for window and instore vitrines. Through store communication, management of VM guidelines , POS inventory quantities, coordination of in-store signage and budget / project management you will develop and execute a luxury, on-brand in-store and VM experience that will attract customers and drive sales.
Planning
• Ownership for the VM global calendar for both in-store product presentation and window displays, to support MV global campaigns
• Working closely with the brand team to provide in-depth briefs for any graphic assets required in retail e.g. Window displays and in-store signage
• Working with external suppliers on projects such as window roll out of POS innovation, ensuring that timelines and budgets are kept on track
• Monthly review of VM globally, with London stores being conducted in person and rest of global estate being reviewed virtually
• Ownership of POS assets and ensuring accurate tracking of our stock levels for all new store openings, liaising with logistics/warehouse to have the right product and POS in the right place at the right time.
• Support new store openings with all POS, training and initial set up of space.
In-Store VM & Window Displays
• Working closely with the NPD team to make commercial decisions on retail product merchandising in store to drive sales. Regular review and reallocation
• Ownership of POS assets inc design, development and ordering. Ensuring accurate tracking of our stock levels for all new store openings,then liaising with logistics to have the right pos in the right place at the right time.
• Creating the global VM guidelines for Vm leads/store managers then ensuring they implement on time and respond with photos/feedback.
• Liaising with brand and external suppliers to ensure any signage and props are developed within budget and delivered in time for launch
Instore Experience
• Manage the in store experience, including but not limited to: presentation of product, services, music, scent, plants, props and signage. Able to communicate fairly and give constructive criticism to store teams.
• Manage, coordinate and work cross functionally to deliver ad hoc customer experience projects, e.g. pop up stores, new services in store or events.
Reporting, Budgeting and Administration
• Budget holder and owner for global Visual merchandising and windows budget, ensuring all spend is tracked and aligns with the agreed budget
• Conduct regular commercial reviews on product displays in order to analysis product performance
• Strong housekeeping of VM files to ensure all information is up to date and relevant
What you'll bring
• Professional outlook with excellent communication and presenting skills both orally and in writing
• Strong knowledge of Excel
• Basic ability of using Photoshop and InDesign
• Ability to learn and execute in house systems to find and analyse data to inform commercial decisions
• Agile and able to prioritise and work across multiple projects whilst keeping to deadlines
• Excellent time management and used to autonomous working, as you will have no direct reports
• Precise and accurate with data and information analysis
• Previous experience of working in a founder led business is desirable
• Keeping up to date with retail and fashion trends and culture
• Strong skillset in cross functional working
• Confident in giving feedback and constructive criticism
• The ability and confidence to work with all levels in the business from the shopfloor to the founder
