What you'll do
The Device Trading team are accountable for setting our pricing strategy, offer roadmap and pricing execution, which delivers our stretching volume, value and share aspirations. Annually, this teams' strategy and execution impacts 1.5m device transactions across acquisition and upgrade and is directly accountable for delivering over £100m of acquisition margin.
In this role, you will report to the Product Trading Lead as part of a team of 3 people, and will be accountable for managing pricing across our full device portfolio (Handset, Tablet, Laptop, Watch and Mobile WiFi product portfolio) driven by analysis & insights to maximise our performance. You'll support in forecasting and performance tracking, creating initiatives to drive performance against our stretching targets, while maintaining strong relationships across a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders.
Key accountabilities:
- Manage pricing of Device portfolio across Handset, Tablet, Laptop, Watch, and Mobile WiFi and portfolio.
- Manage relationship with Device Operations teams to maximise negotiations with device manufacturers.
- Create business cases to facilitate decisions on Pricing & Promo activity, followed by PIRs (post-investment reviews) to inform future decision making.
- Build & maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensure alignment on key decisions & activities.
- Support PAYM Handset budget forecast & pricing strategy.
- Support strategic projects alongside Commercial & Proposition teams.
Who you are
- Excellent commercial acumen and numeric skills - highly analytical and able to quickly derive insight from channel and commercial data.
- Ideally with experience in a pricing role or similar.
- Excellent Excel & PowerPoint skills.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management to build relationships and influence among peers and leadership.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced commercial delivery environment.
