What you’ll be doing:
- Ensuring that all enquiries, quotations and orders are completed and loaded onto SAP correctly and in line with Commercial Delegation of Authority and BAE Systems Operational Framework
- Complete key SAP transactions – sales enquiries, sales quotations, sales contracts, and sales orders
- Ensuring that Commercial databases and systems are maintained correctly, such as Land Task Management System (Land TMS), Life Cycle Management System (LCMS), Agreements database etc.
- Supporting the review, drafting, negotiation and finalisation of bids, proposals and contracts / commercial agreements
- Support Customer facing negotiations for existing contract amendments and new business
- Support the relevant IDT (Integrated Delivery) Commercial team obtaining requisite approvals to create and release proposals including pricing aspects
- Adhere to SHE obligations and standard business working instructions contained in the Business Management System (BMS)
- Quality Assurance – Perform all work/tasks in accordance with project/functional requirements and to the standards prescribed in supporting technical documentation. Proactively seek opportunities for continuous improvement and support quality assurance activities and improvement initiatives deployed by the business
- Participate actively as a key member of the business Executive population in continuously developing the business as a whole to become the market leading company
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Strong commercial awareness with a solid understanding of what drives business success
- Good IT skills with the ability to learn systems and processes Ability to deal with Customers and people at all levels within the business
Desirable:
- Apply processes and procedures, including SAP transactions, pricing, and bid submissions is advantageous
- Experience in managing approvals and sign-offs for proposals, ensuring accurate pricing and timely release

UK MoD team within Land Commercial:
The UK MoD team within Land Commercial is a collaborative team that devise and deliver commercial solutions to customer requirements and maximise the business benefits whilst understanding the level of risk being taken. You will have the opportunity to support the management of existing contracts and ensure all obligations are clearly understood and discharged to the relevant accountable person within Land UK. You will also ensure all processes are followed and agreements are in place ahead of dealing with new customer requests and that all commercial data is maintained within the SAP system
