The role - in simple terms

As a Commercial Analyst, you'll help make sure our client work is properly planned, costed and reported.

You'll be the person people go to when they have questions on spending, costs and resourcing for our global client teams at Publicis.

You'll work closely with teams in the UK and internationally, pulling together data from different markets, checking it's accurate, and turning it into clear reports that help the business make decisions.

This is a hands-on role that suits someone who enjoys working with numbers, spotting errors, organising information, and communicating confidently with different stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Supporting existing clients

  • Acting as the first point of contact for day-to-day commercial questions from internal teams and global markets
  • Managing key financial and resource information across the year, keeping timelines and reporting on track
  • Preparing and checking staffing and cost data to ensure hours and budgets are accurate
  • Supporting annual bonus and incentive calculations and responding to related queries
  • Producing regular and ad-hoc reports for client meetings and internal reviews
  • Working with Finance teams to help resolve overdue payments
  • Making sure any work outside the agreed scope is identified, costed and flagged appropriately
  • Responding to commercial or finance-related questions as they arise

Supporting new business pitches

  • Helping cost and structure proposals when Publicis Media pitches for new client work
  • Pulling together financial and commercial data from multiple teams and markets
  • Coordinating with internal departments to ensure pitch information is accurate and consistent
  • Supporting the transition from "pitch won" to live client work, ensuring key information is shared clearly

Qualifications

This role would suit someone with experience or knowledge in:

  • Commercial analysis
  • Finance or accounting
  • Business operations
  • Data or reporting

You don't need media experience, but you do need to be comfortable working with numbers and detail.

Key skills and qualities

  • Strong Excel skills (including formulas, lookups and pivot tables)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage deadlines and juggle multiple requests
  • Confidence working with data from different sources
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive mindset - you spot issues and act on them
  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and international teams
