A Snapshot of your day:
We're looking for a Commercial Project Manager to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you'll be reporting to the Lead Commercial Manager and support the relevant Project Manager in managing and optimizing targeted financial results with due professional care.
How you'll make an impact:
- Managing and optimizing targeted financial results, with the objective of executing the project according to the defined Project Management (PM) standards, customer requirements and the applicable Financial Reporting Guidelines (FRG).
- Ensures the accuracy of cost and pricing calculations, as well as overall project books and records.
- Prepares commercial documentation for regular project status meetings and ensures the accuracy of the commercial project data including the forecasting of revenue, profit and cash.
- Initiates invoicing according to project progress and contractual terms.
- Actively manages cost and invoices to optimise project cash flow.
- Ensures compliance with FRG requirements.
- Ensures the application and continuous management of financial guarantees, bonds and project securities.
- Supports the Project Manager in identifying and minimising non-conformance costs (NCCs).in identifying, evaluating and assessing risks & opportunities.
- Ensures that timely contractual notifications are made.
- Together with the Project Manager and Commercial Contracts Manager; proactively manages contract administration.
- Manages customer expectations together with the Project Manager.
What you bring:
- A project professional that has experience in the commercial aspects and project financials (controlling & reporting) of engineering and construction project
- Knowledge and familiarity with contract terms of Engineering and Construction Contracts.
- Experience in project budgeting and financial management of risks/opportunities.
- Chartered Accountant or similar would be advantageous (CIMA / ACCA).
- Competent in working collaboratively and cooperatively within project teams.
About the Team
The team of 11 CPMs and 6 Project Controllers manage in excess of £1bn of contracts. You will work closely with the Commercial Contracts Managers and Project Execution team.
