Location: Sizewell C Suffolk or London with a minimum 2 days in the office. (hybrid working arrangements)

Employment type: Permanent/Full-time

Salary : £50,000 to £65,000, based on experience, plus bonus and other beneifts.

Employment basis: The role is expected to be a full- time position however we are open to discussing a more flexible or part- time approach where possible.

Sizewell C (SZC) is one of the largest infrastructure projects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK's climate change agenda and energy policy.

Opportunity...

This is an opportunity for you to join to the expanding Supply Chain team at Sizewell C and be part of our mission in helping Britain achieve net zero. SZC is a Nuclear New Build project where when completed, will provide low carbon electricity for 6 million homes for 60 years in the UK. The SZC project has obtained planning approval and is seeking financing with a view to start construction in 2024.

The role of the Supply Chain function is to support the Projects Programme Delivery teams providing the highest standards of Commercial Management. A role currently exists for a Commercial Manager working across the Supply Chain function to support the development, implementation and assure that Supplier Relationship and Performance management is optimised across the key strategic and critical suppliers to the project.

If you are a Commercial Manager with experience and an interest in supplier relationship and performance management across the Supply Chain this may be the role for you. Candidates should ideally have previous experience in this area operating across Aerospace, Power Generation, Engineering , Manufacturing or Large infrastructure projects and are looking to develop their career further.

What you'll be doing...
• Delivering a consistent and documented approach to Supplier Relationship Management that can be implemented and applied across all works programmes across the Sizewell C project.
• Ensuring the approach to Supplier Relationship Management takes lessons learnt and best practice from other major projects and the wider Nuclear family to ensure the performance of the Projects Strategic and Critical suppliers is measured, managed and optimised through continuous improvement.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with the key stakeholders across the Projects Commercial, Delivery and Engineering teams to ensure the right level of support is provided in the implementation of Supplier Relationship Management across the supply base to ensure the approach is optimised for Sizewell C.
• To provide ongoing support to the Commercial teams responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of Supplier Relationship Management across the delivery programmes in the area of Performance Measurement, Analysis and Continuos improvement to a consistent standard through the application of performance measurement dashboards and continuous improvement plans.
• To develop and implement an approach for the ongoing support and assurance of Supplier Relationship Management across the project ensuring that the applied approach is implemented and operating on a continuous basis as designed.

Who you are...

You will need to be an individual who has ideally been operating in a Commercial / Contract management role for between 3 and 5 years with a specific emphasis on the oversight and delivery of supplier performance improvement. You'll be motivated, self-starting and pragmatic with the ability to work across multiple discipline teams and stakeholders across the business and the supply base in driving the development, implementation and operation of Supplier performance management and improvement. You will need to have strong stakeholder communication skills in order to optimise the performance of the supply base for the benefit of the project.
