What you'll be doing

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager with a strong background in civil or highways construction to join our project team on a long term prestigious infrastructure project.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the financial and commercial aspects of the project, from contract negotiations to ensuring delivery meets financial targets.

You'll work closely with the senior project team to manage risk, procurement, supply chains, and commercial reporting.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is a Chartered Member of RICS, ICES, or CIOB (or working towards it) and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the commercial management of the project, ensuring financial success.
  • Prepare and manage tenders, contracts, and cost reports.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including suppliers and customers, to maintain project progress.
  • Lead a commercial team, providing mentorship and guidance to junior staff.
  • Regularly report on risk, costs, and commercial performance.

Who we're looking for

Qualifications & Experience:

  • BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
  • Chartered Membership of RICS, ICES, or CIOB (or close to achieving).
  • Experience managing large-scale construction projects, ideally in the civil/highways sector.Strong understanding of procurement and risk management.
