What you'll do
We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our UK Business, Pre-Sales Commercial team, where you will be responsible for structuring and articulating compelling commercial proposals for our UK Customers in the bid/tender process, across both existing and new customers.
Working collaboratively with the Sales team you will be working directly with our customers where you will qualify, plan and nurture complex negotiations, ensuring value for our customers and sustainable profitable growth for Vodafone UK.
- Commercial qualification of new opportunities identified by the Sales team.
- Own and drive commercial strategy for winning business at optimal commercial KPIs.
- Ownership of win price through benchmarking, competitor ghosting; and identifying customer value.
- Responsible for the negotiation with internal and external suppliers of goods/services to ensure least cost compliant solution, able to operate at C-suite level.
- Securing appropriate governance approval of commercial models and Financial KPIs.
- Strong experience of negotiating with customers to support deal closure.
- At Handover, ensure agreed commercial contractual obligations and liabilities are clearly documented, and handed over to appropriate teams involved in delivery/execution of contract.
Who you are
- Must be an experienced Commercial and Contract Management professional with a proven track record in executing complex negotiations, with an ability to find pragmatic solutions; whether to resolve commercial disputes or close deals.
- Financial Acumen including structuring cashflow models and associated KPI's.
- Able to evaluate commercial risk and provide appropriate mitigation through commercial terms, contract conditions or delivery methodology.
- Able to structure and articulate compelling commercial proposals considering market and customer insight
- Able to collaborate with and provide commercial thought leadership to a wide range of stakeholders from different business areas and have the credibility to influence stakeholders at all levels inclusive of C-suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to simplify complexity with ease.
