Commercial Manager

Montgomery Group are seeking an experienced, results-oriented exhibition sales professional to drive sales within our Design and Build Division. The Primary focus will be the Materials and Finishes Show. This role reports directly to the Event Director.

The Design and Build Portfolio of shows includes:

  • Surface Design Show; which takes annually in London serving the architect and design community.
  • The Materials and Finishes Show; a biennial show at the NEC and is the UK's show for joiners and furniture manufacturers.
  • The Fabricators and Installers Trade Show (FIT Show); a biennial show and is the UK's leading show for the fenestration industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Revenue Generation:

  • To be a commercial leader for the division; exceeding revenue targets across all revenue lines through exhibition sales and sponsorship sales.
  • Develop sales strategies by forecasting future trends and analysis of market conditions.
  • Securing business through multi-channel approach, including; cold calling, social media, email, face-to-face, attending events and networking events.
  • Identify, qualify and deliver new business through gap analysis of current customers.
  • Utilising upselling and sector knowledge to provide additional solutions to existing clients, leveraging your in-depth knowledge of their business.
  • Ensure that monthly sales KPI's are achieved.
    Reporting and Forecasting:
  • Develop a comprehensive sales plan for commercial growth in alignment with the overarching event strategy.
  • Maintain regular and precise financial reporting through management of the sales pipeline.
  • Excellent organisation skills managing workloads via the company CRM.
    Communication and organisation:
  • Present complex documents clearly and confidently to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in floor plan management.
  • Foster and develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team on campaigns to generate sales leads and drive results.
    IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Has a proven track record of delivering results within exhibitions and sponsorship sales.
  • Be highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage your own time effectively.
  • Have a high level of emotional intelligence and be skilled in the art of relationship building with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Personable, Enthusiastic with a can do, will do attitude - a real team player.

This full-time role is office based minimum 3 days a week. Core hours are 9-5pm but flexibility outside these hours will be required to suit the needs of the business. There will be a requirement to travel domestically to meet with clients and attend relevant industry events throughout the year. There will also be a small amount of international travel to relevant competitor exhibitions.
